TERMS OF SERVICE

Policies, Dec. 2022

For my private studio:

School Year Financials

1. Based on three factors, your school district's calendar, the travel schedule you provided in the form online, as well as my own travel schedule, I will be sending you each a single monthly figure for tuition/travel (if applicable) to charge once a month. (Let me know if you need to update your travel schedule!). NEW: If you would prefer, I can set up a payment plan for you on this website.

2. Any lessons missed in addition to those listed in your travel schedule can be made up at the end of the semester (see item 1 under Scheduling), or else prorated the following month, refunded, or refigured into a new monthly rate at my discretion (though I will certainly ask for your preference). This assumes that the lessons missed follow lesson cancellation guidelines below.

3. Lessons cancelled within 24 hours of the lesson in question are subject to charge without reschedule except under emergency, medical, or other extenuating circumstances.

Scheduling

1. In the last full week of school I will be offering a make up week. Regular lessons will be cancelled and, depending upon need, I will be happy to meet with students once or twice to make up for any absences during the semester.

2. With a fairly packed schedule for many, rescheduling may be difficult. I would prefer when possible simply to cancel the lesson and reschedule it during the make up week explained above. Online make up lessons are certainly also a convenient option.

3. Please plan for an adult (18+) family member to be present for the duration of all lessons. Since issues do arise, please communicate with me if you need to leave the premises for part of the lesson and I will be happy to set up a Zoom call during the lesson (at my static teaching link) so that observation of the lesson is available to you at all times. Such consideration is necessary in order for me to comply with my studio's insurance policy.

Rate Increase

1. Beginning in January of 2023, I will be increasing my teaching rate by $10/hr for all current students. This is reflective of further experience and qualification in my field as well as economic demands. My travel fee will remain the same.

2. With a dedication above all to my students' growth, if such a rate increase is prohibitive to you, please let me know and I'll be happy to try and negotiate with you.

3. If you are able/willing, I thank you for considering to "opt in" to the new rate sooner than January. To be clear, I leave that totally up to you.
