JACKSON FEASTER

Jackson Feaster, a New Mexican pianist, holds degrees from Baylor University in piano performance and pedagogy. A doctoral candidate at the University of Colorado, Boulder, Jackson has a deep passion for teaching, programming, and performing. He loves working with people from all walks of life and at every skill-level, through language barriers, and in groups. On a teaching trip in Malaysia, Jackson worked with local communities in the fundamental principles of music-reading and piano playing—skills that brought a higher level of musical expertise to area schools and churches in the rainforests of Borneo.

A recipient of awards for outstanding performance and academic achievement from the Baylor University School of Music, Jackson is a doctoral candidate at the University of Colorado Boulder and has completed an appointment as a Teaching Assistant

When he’s not teaching, practicing, or studying, Jackson loves to spend time in the mountains hiking, backpacking, trailrunning, and camping, as well as songwriting and writing poetry.
